Preparatory Course for English Teachers

How long is the course?

This is an 80-hour, 2-semester course aiming at helping English teachers prepare for the Cambridge English B2 First Exam.

Module 2:
August-December 2026
(40 hours – 2 hours a week)

1 weekly online session of 120 minutes – via Google Meet

NB.: Most participants are ready after two semesters. If necessary, you can take a third one. The order of the content in class may vary but you will be prepared for the exam nevertheless.

This course is for you if…

… you have studied English for approximately 500-600 hours and have an Upper-Intermediate (CEFR B2) level of the language (find out here);
… you are an English Teacher and would like to develop your level of English;
… you would like to develop professionally by acquiring internationally-recognized certification of your level of English to have better professional opportunities;
… you plan on sitting the exam in December/2026.

What will I learn?

Participants will be exposed to content which is a combination of effective exam-taking techniques and Language Development via expansion of key vocabulary and advanced grammatical structures which are required to take the exam.
Participants will also undergo real-life exam mock tests, which, allied to the feedback of an experienced tutor, will help them develop their Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening Skills, as well as Grammar and Vocabulary.

Can I sit the exam after one semester only?

The answer is: it depends.

Based on the tutor’s feedback on your language and exam performance throughout the semester, as well as results from Diagnostic and Course Mock Tests assigned, we might recommend the exam after one term only or go on studying and take it after two semesters.

Course Investment for 2026:

Early-bird Fee #1: 8 installments of R$ 345,00 – payable immediately via PIX or Boleto Bancário (for enrollments up to May 31st, 2026);

Regular Fee: 6 installments of R$ 460,00 – payable immediately via PIX or Boleto Bancário (for enrollments up to July 31st, 2026);
Full Payments have 3% discount – via Credit Card, PIX or Boleto Bancário – paid upon registration.

Groups will be formed by a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 10;
Materials need to be purchased and won't be offered in PDF formats;
Sessions will be recorded and made available to participants for up to a week via Google Classroom;

Course Tutor

Ana Luisa Mattosinho has been working as an English teacher since 2020, and is multiple times certified by Cambridge English, through her TKTs (Modules 1, 2 and 3), the CELTA, the PDQ Classroom Practice and the C1 Advanced. She’s currently preparing for the Cambridge English C2 Proficiency.
