for English Teachers (Asynchronous Course)

How long is the course?

This course comprises:

a) 9 hours – asynchronous instruction

Asynchronous sessions are composed of:

One video of up to 60 minutes delivered for every session (see program below);
Around 10 asynchronous biweekly online assignments delivered via Google Classroom

b) Face-to-face instruction

The tutor will schedule a monthly face-to-face meeting with participants in order to offer them a chance to practice language seen in the recordings and solve doubts.

Recordings are delivered via Google Classroom

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course aims at helping teachers become more autonomous when running their businesses and planning courses.
It will also improve their language awareness and development, as well as encourage reflection on theoretical features of methodology in English Language Teaching in order to provide their students with better Language Solutions, academically and professionally speaking.

Course Format

The course consists of sessions (either in Portuguese or in English) aiming at helping teachers understand and discuss theoretical background of several areas in ELT and Business Administration, where the tutor and participants will analyze features and problems, out of which Lessons or Business Action Plans will be devised accordingly.
Participants then carry out tasks asynchronously on areas which need improvement and receive feedback from the tutor.

Course MENTOR

Rodrigo Sigoli has been in ELT since 2006, as an English teacher, Teacher Educator, Conference Speaker, Director of Studies and Cambridge English tutor.

He is a TOEFL and TOEIC certified exam administrator and has also been a Cambridge English Speaking Examiner since 2012 for levels Pre-A1 to C2.

Besides his degree in Languages, he has been awarded multiple certifications by Cambridge English: the C2 Proficiency (2011), the BULATS (2012), the CELTA (2013), as well as Train the Trainer (2019) and the CertPT by Trinity College London (2023).
